Northern Electric Cooperative members are invited to the 78th Annual Meeting on Monday, June 16. The meeting will be held live at the Holum Expo Center located at the Brown County Fairgrounds in Aberdeen, with livestreaming to the Northern Electric Service Center located at 17140 N Highway 281, Redfield, SD.  

Incumbent directors, Todd Hettich, Mina (District 2); Scott Sperry, Bath (District 5); and Nolan Wipf, Hitchcock (District 9) were the only candidates to submit qualifying petitions for seats up for election. Since nominations are closed, the candidates will be automatically re-elected at the annual meeting. 

Balloting for the proposed Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws Amendments will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at each location. Northern Electric Directors will be present at each location to discuss the proposed amendments with members. The proposed changes were published in the May edition of Cooperative Connections.

Registration, voting and activities will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will end when the business meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Registered memberships will be entered into prize drawings and receive one meal voucher in lieu of a meal. A list of participating restaurants from throughout our service territory is included with each voucher. Members can redeem their complimentary meal at participating restaurants on or before August 31, 2025.

Members are encouraged to stop by from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. to visit with staff and board members. A variety of activities for the family, as well as snacks, will be available. Activities will include safety demonstrations, bucket truck rides, trying on lineman safety gear, and more.
