Youth Excursion 2024
The 2024 Youth Excursion is a four-day experience filled with fun, leadership activities, and learning. Any high school student of a Northern Electric Cooperative member is eligible to apply.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 YOUTH EXCURSION ARE DUE MAY 28, 2024
The Youth Excursion is a free three-day experience for high school students of Northern Electric Cooperative members. During the Youth Excursion, students will learn about the energy industry and tour the generation resources that supply their electricity. The dates of the 2024 Youth Excursion are July 22-24.
Students will stay at Bismarck State College in North Dakota and learn about electric cooperatives, tour power plants, and participate in team-building activities. Students will also participate in social activities like swimming at a Bismarck-area waterpark and cruising down the Missouri River on the Lewis and Clark Riverboat. High school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors of Northern Electric Cooperative consumers are encouraged to apply for the 2024 Youth Excursion.
A commercial bus will pick up students at their local electric cooperative on Monday, July 22. Students will be dropped off at their local electric cooperative office on Wednesday, July 24. The cost of transportation, lodging at Bismarck State College, meals, and entertainment are all included in the trip. Students only need to supply their own personal/shopping money.
To apply for the 2024 Youth Excursion students simply have to fill out the registration form on this page and submit it by May 28.
